Mangaluru: AJ Hospital organized awareness programme on ‘Women’s Health’, on account of International Women’s Day 2016, on March 8 at AJ Hospital conference hall.
The programme was organized in association with Lions Clubs International, District 317 D and Lions Club Mangalore Kankanady-Padil.
M Kavitha S Shastry, Governor, Lion’s Club International Dist. 317 D, delivered the inaugural address. Speaking on the occasion, she wished everyone a happy women’s day. Seeing the number of women present for the programme, she said that it really inspires her.
“Women nowadays are busy either working or taking care of family in which they forget to take care of themselves. A woman should beautify her own life by taking care of her health. She should spend 30 minutes a day on herself thinking about her capabilities and work only up to a certain capacity. She should also imbibe certain values which would lead to a healthy life,” she said.
K C Prabhu, Governor, Past Lions Dist 317 D, said that there should be no difference between men and women in today’s world.
“There are so many women governors in the lion’s club who have achieved more than what the male governors did,” he added.
Amitha P Marla, Director, Medical Administration, A J Hospital, greeted the gathering and thanked the lion’s club for its association with A J Hospital for taking vital steps in the field of women’s health.
Vani V Alva, Chief Officer of Mulki Town Panchayat, was felicitated on the occasion.
Lidwin D’Souza, Marketing Executive, A J Hospital, delivered the vote of thanks.
