Haryana: Comedian Kiku Sharda who plays the role of Palak in the blockbuster TV hit “Comedy Nights With Kapil” has been arrested in Haryana for imitating self-styled spiritual guru Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. 

Sharda has been charged of hurting the religious sentiments of the followers of Singh.

After the episode went on air late in December, Sharda tender an apology on twitter.

Singh, 48, often called The Guru of Bling because of his bejewelled costumes and flashy appearances on motorcylces is the head of the Dera Sacha Sauda, a massive religious sect headquartered in Haryana, and has starred in two films. The sect claims nearly 50 million followers.
