Kolkata, Apr 3: Salt Lake stadium was jam packed with viewers..the colourful display of firecrackers, sensational music and dance was the highlight of inaugural ceremony of IPL – 6 here on Tuesday April 2 evening.
The inaugural function was begun with a song of Ravindranat Tagore and enlivenedd with glamorous dance of Bollywood celebrities and American singer Pit Bull.
The drummers beating the drums fully charged, Bengali dance to the tune of Ravindranat Tagore song, attractive gymnastic display, besides the mesmerizing dance of Bollywood celebrities Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone sensationalized the viewers to dance merrily. The viewers showered thunderous clapping when Kolkata Night Riders team owner Sharuk Khan arrived at the venue.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee offered motion for IPL- 6 on Tuesday evening. The captains and teammates who are playing in IPL-6 signed the charter to commit themselves for cricketing rules.
It was a sensational moment when a beauty who landed from the sky and presented a trophy to Kolkata Night Rider’s team’s former captain Gambhir at the occasion.
Bollywood music director Bappy Lahari and musician Usha Utup enthralled the viewers with all-time Hindi hit songs. The viewers gave a standing ovation to Pit Bull’s singing. The inaugural function concluded by Sharuk Khan proposing thanks for all those who helped in organizing IPL-6.
