Mangaluru: As all the 14 nominations filed for the directors’ posts of The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd, were in order Returning Office Sudhir Kumar, Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies declared all the 14 candidates who filed nominations to be elected on 20 August 2023, after scrutiny of the nominations, as the required quorum was available to form the board as per the provisions of co-operative act.
As all the 14 candidates were elected unanimously, the Election scheduled on Sunday, 27 August 2023 for the post of directors will not be conducted, said Sunil. I. Menezes, General Manager of The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd, in a press release.
With this development, for first time in the 111 year history of The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd, popularly known as MCC Bank, a unanimous election was held, and team led by Anil Lobo, Fermai, the incumbent chairman will lead the Bank for next 5 years.
Young and dynamic youth leader Anil Lobo hails from Valencia. His team includes members from various regions : Gerald Pinto of Kallianpur, Roshan Dsouza of Mudipu, Harold John Montero of Kelarai, Joseph M. Anil Patrao of Derebail, David D’Souza of Bajpe, Melvin Aquinas Vaz of Mangalore, J.P.
