Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps stated that it executed multiple drone and missile strikes against Israel on Saturday, potentially escalating tensions between the two longtime adversaries significantly.

ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU

“Over the past few years, and especially in recent weeks, we have anticipated and prepared for potential direct confrontations with Iran. Our defenses are fully operational, prepared for any outcome whether defensive or offensive. Israel remains strong—our military, our people, our resolve.

“We are grateful for the support from the United States, alongside that of Britain, France, and many other nations. We adhere firmly to our principle: those who seek to harm us will face our retaliation. We will protect ourselves from any threat with calm and resolve.”

IRAN’S MISSION TO THE UNITED NATIONS

“Iran’s military actions were a direct response to hostile actions by the Zionist regime against our diplomatic facilities in Damascus. This incident should now be considered resolved.

“However, should there be further provocations by Israel, Iran’s reaction will be significantly stronger. We are engaged in a dispute with the rogue Israeli regime, and we urge the U.S. to refrain from involvement.”

U.S. NATIONAL SECURITY SPOKEPERSON ADRIENNE WATSON

“President Biden has repeatedly affirmed our unwavering support for Israel’s security. The U.S. stands firmly with Israel and will back its defense against threats posed by Iran.”

U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON

“In light of Iran’s harsh attacks, the U.S. must demonstrate its commitment to Israel, our crucial ally. It must be understood globally that Israel does not stand alone.”

BRITISH PRIME MINISTER RISHI SUNAK

“I strongly denounce the irresponsible attacks by Iran on Israel. Such actions threaten to escalate tensions and destabilize the area further. Iran’s behavior continues to foster chaos within the region.

“The UK remains committed to the security of Israel and our regional allies, including Jordan and Iraq. We are working with our allies to manage the crisis and avert further escalations. It is in no one’s interest to see additional loss of life.”

CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER JUSTIN TRUDEAU

“Canada categorically condemns the aerial assaults by Iran on Israel. Following its support for Hamas’ violent attack on October 7, this latest aggression by Iran will only contribute to regional instability and hinder the pursuit of lasting peace.

“These actions further underscore Iran’s disregard for regional peace and stability. Canada supports Israel’s right to defend its people and sovereignty against these attacks.”

GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTER ANNALENA BAERBOCK

“We condemn the ongoing missile and drone strikes by Iran on Israel, which risk throwing the region into deeper chaos. Germany expresses its full solidarity with Israel at this critical time.”

GERMAN AMBASSADOR TO ISRAEL STEFFEN SEIBERT

“Tonight, all of Israel has Germany’s solidarity as they face Iran’s brutal and unprecedented attack. This includes every Israeli—Jews, Arabs, Christians, as well as the Bedouins in the Negev and the Druze in the Golan. We hope for their safety.”

FRENCH FOREIGN MINISTER STEPHANE SEJOURNE

“France vehemently condemns Iran’s attack on Israel. By choosing such a drastic course of action, Iran has escalated its destabilizing activities, risking further military conflict.”

EUROPEAN UNION FOREIGN POLICY CHIEF JOSEP BORRELL

“The EU strongly condemns the unacceptable attack by Iran on Israel. This event marks a severe escalation and poses a serious threat to regional stability.”

EUROPEAN COUNCIL PRESIDENT CHARLES MICHEL

“We vehemently condemn Iran’s assault on Israel. We must do everything possible to prevent further escalation in the region. Avoiding more bloodshed is crucial. We will continue to monitor the situation closely with our allies.”

SPANISH PRIME MINISTER PEDRO SANCHEZ

“We are deeply concerned by the unfolding events in the Middle East. We are maintaining continuous contact with our embassies in the region, which remain operational to assist Spanish nationals.”

DUTCH PRIME MINISTER MARK RUTTE

“The situation in the Middle East is extremely concerning. Earlier today, the Netherlands, along with other nations, sent a strong message to Iran to cease its hostilities towards Israel. We strongly condemn Iran’s actions and urge restraint to prevent further escalation. We are closely monitoring ongoing developments.”

DANISH FOREIGN MINISTER LARS LOKKE RASMUSSEN

“Denmark strongly condemns Iran’s announced attacks on Israel. We call for restraint and de-escalation from all parties. Iran’s destabilizing influence in the Middle East is unacceptable, and this attack exacerbates the situation.”

NORWEGIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ESPEN BARTH EIDE

“I condemn the illegal and perilous Iranian assault on Israel. This act worsens an already volatile regional situation. It is crucial to prevent any further escalation of violence in the Middle East. I urge all involved to exercise maximum restraint.”

CZECH REPUBLIC FOREIGN MINISTRY

“We firmly denounce Iran’s destabilizing actions and its proxies’ decision to attack Israel. We reiterate Israel’s right to self-defense. Iran’s long-term aggressive behavior has hindered peace and security in the Middle East.”

PARAGUAY’S PRESIDENT SANTIAGO PENA

“In these challenging times, Paraguay stands solidly with Israel. We are concerned about the increasing violence in the region and remain in contact with our embassies to assist our citizens.”

CHILE’S FOREIGN MINISTER ALBERTO VAN KLAVEREN

“Chile is alarmed by the serious escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the Iranian attacks on Israel. We condemn the use of force and uphold international humanitarian law, which is designed to protect civilians in conflict zones.”

MEXICO’S FOREIGN MINISTRY
