Islamabad: Even as reports flood on media with regard to detention of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) Chief and suspected Pathankot attack mastermind Maulana Masood Azhar, in a volte-face, the Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Thursday stated that it has no idea if Azhar has been detained.

Talking to press, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qazi Khalilullah also said that dates of Foreign Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan, which were scheduled to hold tomorrow, are being rescheduled.
On Wednesday, Pakistani media had reported that the JeM chief was taken to an undisclosed destination and was questioned as part of a crackdown, after India handed over evidences to Pakistan with regard to JeM’s role in Pathankot attack. The reports also stated that his brother Mufti Abdul Rauf and brother-in-law Ashfaq Ahmad as well as some 10 others were detained.
The Pathankot attack took place just a week after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew to Lahore and met Sharif in a bid to push forward peace dialogue between the two countries.
