New Delhi: Verma, a friend turned foe to Yadav, has often found himself at the centre of controversies over his remarks.

This time too he raked  a huge controversy on Monday when he said in the Lok Sabha that Mulayam Singh Yadav (SP) had links with terrorists.

Besides he added, SP fought the Gujarat Assembly polls after 2002 riots with BJP and helped Narendra Modi to come to power. Following the comment there was major uproar in the Lok Sabha withSP MPs demanding Verma be sacked from the Union Cabinet !

But Verma counter questioned saying :Who is Mulayam to ask for my removal? Has he made me the Minister? He should  apologise for he has betrayed the nation,  in reply to their demands.

Verma further  reiterated saying :For me, terrorism has no religion, no color. The demolition of Babri Masjid and the Post Godhra riots are also terrorist incidents. But Mulayam, like Kalyan SIngh joined hands with those who demolished Babri Masjid.
