Washington: US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19, on Friday.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!,” Trump tweeted.

It may be recalled that Trump had said that he was tested for Covid-19 and was awaiting the results after one of his closest White House aide contracted the virus.

White House adviser Hope Hicks, one of the closest to Trump, has tested positive for Covid-19.

She had travelled with the President on Air Force One earlier this week, the source added.
