London: The BJP UK’s ‘Overseas Friends’ organized a car rally in London to demonstrate strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling party ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Commencing from the Kutch Leva Patidar Samaj Complex in Northolt, the rally concluded at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Neaden. The event commenced with lively cultural performances, setting a vibrant atmosphere of solidarity and enthusiasm, as per a statement from the ‘Overseas Friends of BJP’.

More than 250 cars joined the rally, reflecting widespread backing for the BJP and PM Modi before the national elections. Participants from the British Indian community were seen waving the Indian Tricolour and BJP flags during the event.
UK Parliamentarian and Padmashri recipient, Bob Blackman, participated in the rally and addressed the Indian community at the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in London. Blackman emphasized the importance of the Indian community’s role in shaping the future of India, highlighting the significance of the upcoming elections, which coincide with the event.

Blackman praised the growing economic ties between India and the UK, citing ongoing negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement and existing cooperation agreements in defense and security. He emphasized the potential for significant growth for both countries with the successful conclusion of these agreements.
Regarding India’s economic trajectory, Blackman noted its potential to become the world’s leading economy, underscoring the importance of the reelection of the BJP government for both India and the UK’s economic prosperity.
Blackman also urged support for British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and himself for re-election, highlighting their commitment to the Indian community’s interests in the UK Parliament.
The ‘Overseas Friends of BJP’, UK, is an active organization dedicated to nurturing support for the Bharatiya Janata Party within the Indian community in the United Kingdom.
In other news, the Election Commission announced the schedule for the upcoming general elections, which will be held in seven phases starting from April 19 and concluding with vote counting on June 4. Various states and Union Territories will participate in each phase of the polling process.
