Paris:The Foreign Minister of France Laurent Fabius has said that, his country will put a resolution to the UN Security Council to place Syrias chemical weapons under international control so that they can be destroyed.

He said it would threaten “extremely serious” consequences if Syria violated chemical weapons conditions.

There would be a request for a complete inspection of all chemical weapons.

Mr Fabius says the plan had been discussed before, but has probably been advanced by the pressure applied in recent weeks, he said at a news conference in Paris.
