Neyavelli (Tamil Nadu): As the incident of students became ill after consuming mid-day hot meals in a state-run school in Bihar is fresh in the minds, 102 students in state-run school at Neyavelli in Tamil Nadu also fell ill after consuming mid-day meals and were admitted in hospitals.
The students from the age-group of 9 years to 16 years are reported ill, but have no threat to their lives, said a local officer.
The students complained of giddiness and omitting that was caused because of spoilt eggs, it was learned.
Twenty-three students died after consuming mid-day hot meals at the school in Chapra in Bihar. After this incident, more such cases are coming to light.
