California: The video of a sermon of Pastor Roger Jimenez at the Verity Baptist Church calling the Christian community not to mourn the death of 50 ‘sodomites’ has gone viral. Pastor Jimenez gave the sermon after the Orlando shooting incident.
“I think Orlando, Fla., is a little safer tonight,” he told his congregation, equating members of the LGBT community to sexual predators. “The tragedy is more of them didn’t die…. I’m kind of upset he didn’t finish the job!”

Jimenez also said if it were up to him, gays and lesbians would be lined up against a wall so a firing squad could “blow their brains out.”

The reaction to the sermon has been swift and fierce.

Jimenez in an interview with a news channel called Mateen a true American hero and also suggested that the government should award a medal posthumously to the Orlando shooter. He said,” In my opinion, Mateen is a true American hero for having the guts to go out and do what many of us are thinking. Millions of Americans are thinking about doing the exact same thing because we have become prisoners of our own country. I applaud his actions and salute him, even though he was a member of another religion.”

Jimenez further said that Muslim and Christians should unite and take up arms to eliminate homosexuality.
