Plane carrying over 50 persons crashes in Iran: Reports

Tehran: An Iranian passenger plane carrying 50-60 persons crashed into the country’s Zagros mountains on Sunday.

The plane, which was en route from Tehran to Yasouj has crashed south of Isfahan province in central Iran confirmed the Iran’s Emergency Service. However it is not yet known if there have been any human casualties in the incident.

“This plane has crashed in the Semirom area and all emergency forces are on alert. The plane had 50 to 60 passengers,” was quoted Pir Hossein Koolivand telling the Fars news agency.
