Islamabad: Ali Haider Gilani, the son of Pakistans ex prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, has been kidnapped by unidentified armed men in Pakistans Punjab province.

Militants abducted Ali Haider from a Pakistan Peoples Party rally at Farukh Town in Multan.

His secretary Mohiyuddin and bodyguard were wounded and later succumbed to their injuries
The banned Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan has warned it will target secular parties like the Pakistan Peoples Party and Awami National Party ahead of the May 11 General Election.

According to reports, Ali Haider was also warned earlier by groups against campaigning for elections in Multan.
