Washington: The Biden administration emphasized the significance of the partnership between the United States and India, highlighting it as one of the most crucial relationships.
State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated during a press briefing that the two countries collaborate closely on key priorities. Miller noted the productive working relationship with outgoing Indian Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu and expressed anticipation for his successor.
He also underscored the joint efforts towards maintaining a free, open, and secure Indo-Pacific region. Regarding diplomatic engagements, Miller highlighted the close collaboration between Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, citing various meetings between them, including those held in India and during the UN General Assembly in New York.
