Kolkata: It was another case of inadequate security of passengers including women in the Indian Railways as a woman jumped from a running train to avoid molestation bid in West Bengal on Sunday.
The incident happened on Janata Express between Bally and Belur stations near Kolkata when the 25-year old woman boarded train from Asansol. 

 
According to the victim, an unidentified man attacked her when he found her alone in the compartment. “As our train passed a station, I waved at people to help me. That person came and took away my phone. After that I don’t know what happened,” the woman said.
 
The woman has sustained multiple injuries.
 
Locals spotted her near the tracks and rushed her to a hospital. She has suffered head injury but her condition is said to be stable.

 

The police arrived at the hospital to take her statement and have registered a case.

 
The woman works at an IT company in Kolkata and was on her way to Kolkata from Asansol.
