
Tehran: An Iranian passenger plane carrying 66 persons crashed into the country’s Zagros mountains on Sunday, killing all on board.
“After searches in the area, unfortunately we were informed that the plane crashed. Unfortunately, all our dear ones lost their lives in this incident,” Mohammad Tabatabai, public relations director for Aseman Airlines, told state broadcaster IRIB.
The plane, which was en route from Tehran to Yasouj has crashed south of Isfahan province in central Iran confirmed the Iran’s Emergency Service. The aircraft was carrying 60 passenger’s, including a child and six crew members.
