India elevates its status in Global Violence

Mumbai: India upgraded its place amongst the countries those are affected with terrorism, naxal menace and clashes, revealed the survey of the Global Peace Index (GPI).

India secured 141st place among 161 countries.  As per the survey based on 2011, India has elevated to third position.  A minimum of 2 persons become victims of violence every day, stated the survey.

The Central African Republic is the nation with highest occurrences of violence, followed by Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and South Sudan.Iceland is the most peaceful nation in the world.

The survey is based on social security and safety, international controversies, stated GPI.
