Jodhpur: A court in Jodhpur today read out fresh charges against actors Saif Ali Khan,Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre in a case of hunting of blackbucks 14 years ago.
Salman Khan, who is also an accused in the case, was not present in the court today.
The case was filed against the actors in 1998 for having allegedly shot blackbucks in a villagenear Jodhpur during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. The actors face charges underthe Wildlife Protection Act as the blackbuck is a protected animal.
Salman has faced a long drawn out legal battle in the chinkara and blackbuck poachingcases and has been jailed twice in Jodhpur – in 1998 and 2007.
