Patna: A group of around 100 Naxals attacked a passenger train in Bihar this afternoon killing two persons and injuring five others, the police have said.

The Dhanbad-Patna Intercity Express was attacked near Kundra halt around 1 pm just before Jamui railway station,sources said.

According to a senior police officer, the rebels snatched weapons from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawans who were on board the train as a standard security precaution.

An RPF jawan and a passenger was killed in the attack, the driver of the train has received bullet injuries.
