Mangalore: In an initiative undertaken by the Rotary Club Mangalore Downtown, school articles were distributed to the students of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat School, Pandeshwar  on Saturday June 21.

The articles distributed were books, umbrellas and school bags. Around 20 new students were also given uniforms on the occasion.

The donors were “Yemme Kere” Friends Club, a local named Naresh, two policemen from Pandeshwar police station along with Rotary Club Mangalore Downtown.

The welcome speech was given by HM, whereas the presidential address was delivered by Club President Eknath. An old student of the school named – Muneer also spoke on the occasion.

Nagraj Kamath,Secretary of Rotary Club Mangalore Downtown, Sudhir Bhandakar Project Chairman, Anil B TRF Chairman, Ganesh Prabhu and Rahul S the members of the club were present on the occasion along with others.
