Rishi Kapoor comes out in support of Kiku, dares Gurmeet Rahim’s followers to arrest him

Haryana: Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, known for expressing his thoughts blatantly on several issues on Twitter came out in support of actor Kiku Sharda who was on Wednesday arrested for mimicking self styled Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
Kapoor on Thursday tweeted about Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and dared the authorities to arrest him.

Kiku had mimicked Gurmeet Ram Rahim on one of the episodes of Comedy Nights with Kapil. He has been accused of hurting religious sentiments of the chief’s followers and was ordered to kept in judicial custody for 14 days. However, he was later released on bail.

Kiku had also apologised for his act.

“If I’ve hurt anyone’s sentiments, I fold my hands and apologise to everyone,” said Kiku Sharda.

Following his apology Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh tweeted: ‘I was busy shooting OnlineGurukul; just got to know, devotees are hurt due to Kiku’s action. If he has apologized, no complaint from my side’

Besides Kapoor, other people from the film fraternity also came out in support of Kiku and broke into outrage over his arrest.
