During the ongoing protest of contractual medical officers against the hospital authorities saw a unique kind of protest, when the protesters gathered around a donkey and informed him about their demands.

It may be mentioned here that contractual medical officers across the state are on indefinite strike to get their demands fulfill including increase in salary.

Around 298 medicals officers are on strike in Alirajpur and the protest turned all heads when they took  out a rally and gathered around  a donkey informed him about their demands and also handed over the memorandum to him.

They further offered him sweets and requested him to somehow convey the same message to the state government to fulfill the demands of the protesters.

Besides, in Betul as well the Anganwadi workers and Asha workers compared the MLAs’ with the donkey and offered him sweets as well.

The protesters also burned the effigy of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister.

“The motive behind offering sweets to the donkey is the animal does not do anything extra ordinary the same way the leaders are no different from a donkey, but still they are getting hefty salary and pensions which is wrong,” said a protester.
