Mangaluru: To commemorate the international year of Crystallography and also centennial year of X-Ray Diffraction, the departments of Physics and Chemistry, St Aloysius College(Autonomous), Mangaluru are jointly organizing a one day seminar on ‘X-ray Crystallography’ on December 16, 2014 at Eric Mathias Hall.

The seminar will be inaugurated at 9.00 o’clock by Dr. M R Shenoy, Professor of Physics, IIT Delhi, which will be followed by his inaugural address.

M N Satyanarayan, NITK Surathkal will deliver key-note address. Dr Ramesh Tamhankar, Scientist from Singapore Technical University, Dr. M. Nethaji, Scientist, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore will be the resource persons.

Students from B.Sc, M.Sc Physics & Chemistry and faculty can will be attending the seminar. The seminar is sponsored by the department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India under ‘Star College scheme’.
