Nisha Yogeshwar has got a break in sandalwood movies, as the Kannada filmdom is facing the dearth of heroines. Nisha is the daughter of C P Yogeshwar, who acted in movies like “Sainika” and “Uttara Druvadim Dakshina Druvaku”, by her maiden cast in the movie “Ambarisha” with Darshan. Nisha who has hundreds of dreams is blessed with intellect and glamour who has the role of a heroine along with Darshan. She is also soft natured. Newskarnataka shares a few moments with Nisha…

Nisha..as you are getting a break in Kannada filmdom through movie ‘Ambarish’ how do you feel about it?

Its indeed a great experience. I am happy that I have got a first chance to act as heroine with the experienced actor like Darshan.

Please tell us about your family?

As you know, my father C P Yogeshwar acted as hero in movies ‘Sainika’ and ‘Uttara Druvadim Dakshina Druvaku’ always had a great interest for significant movies.  My mother is Malavika Solanki, hailing from Rajastan but born in Bangalore. I am also born and brought up in Bangalore.

How did you get interested in movies?

I should have entered the filmdom about 4 to 5 years ago. I used to get many offers since then, but I took longer time.  I had to study the filmdom and also decided to make preparations before joining. I have grown up viewing my fathers roles since my childhood.  I developed interest in Kannada movies as acting is in my genes.  As I continued to view the movies, I dreamt about acting.  I began to make preparations and good offers were coming.  I used to discuss the script with the directors, but I did not found suitable.  About a month or two months ago, Mahesh Sukhadare offered me a heroine’s role in movie ‘Ambarisha’.  I found script, banner, director and heroine role with Darshan interesting and agreed to act.’

What is your dream role?

I am just getting a break in Kannada filmdom.  I am more interested in good roles.  I hope to act in all challenging roles. I hope to act as heroines in the movies ‘Arundati’ and ‘Rajaneeti’.

What aspects you give importance while choosing a movie?

Its a tough question.  Its the good roles I seek.  I give importance to my role. The viewers should like the role that is important for me.  I also take into account star casts, good technical and marketing team, because, if these are good, the movie will be superb.

Tell us about your role in movie ‘Ambarish’

I have a role of an extremely sensitive girl who loves Indian culture.  The movie has a great scope for my role and hope the viewers enjoy it on the screen.  Meanwhile, I feel privileged to work with experienced actor like Darshan.  I feel happy to act along with the star actors Ambarish, Sumalata and Ambika.

What you got to say to your viewers?

First of all, I thank the viewers. I am grateful for your love and encouragement. I need your love and support always that is everything for me. I too have responsibility as an actor.  I hope to be seen in new roles and I try to give justice to my acting in different roles. Let your love always dwell in me. I convey my sincere wishes to all, for the upcoming festival of Gowri Ganesh.

These are the words of Nisha who has set her foot to Kannada filmdom with many dreams.  Let us hope Nisha’s journey in Kannada filmdom that was begun by a break in movie ‘Ambarisha’ becomes successful and she makes name in Kannada filmdom and also in movies of other languages.
