The power of social media came for a kid’s savior after a Facebook post helped a six-year-old suffering from eye cancer. The post seeking financial help for treatment of the kid managed to raise Rs 50,000 in donations in a single day.

The post went viral on the internet and soon help and calls were ringing from all parts of the world including an Indian from New Zealand. Six-year-old, Anil Arya is suffering from Retinoblastoma and a post seeking help for him was put up by activist Gurvinder Singh Chadha.

The patient’s family belongs to a remote village in Bageshwar district and is a BPL family. Chadha put out a post on facebook giving out the details of the bank account for people to help the kid whose family cannot afford his treatment.
