Maharajganj: In an unusual incident in the Bhitauli area of Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh, a viral video captures a girlfriend’s dramatic response to her boyfriend’s marriage proposal rejection. Frustrated by the refusal, the girl climbed a mobile tower, reminiscent of a scene from the movie Sholay, attracting attention and a growing crowd.
Local police from Bhitauli police station swiftly responded to the situation. Despite their efforts to convince her, the girl remained adamant about staying atop the tower. After much persuasion, she eventually descended from the tower, providing a sense of relief for the police.

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the area confirmed the incident, stating that a young woman had climbed the tower under the jurisdiction of the Bhitauli police station. The local police successfully managed to bring her down safely.
According to police reports, the girl desires to marry a boy named Anil, both of whom hail from the same village. Allegedly in love for the past two years, the girl resorted to climbing the tower after Anil declined her proposal. Authorities are now taking appropriate action following the incident. The girl is reported to be 20 years old.
