Mysuru: National Sports Club Mysore will conduct KV Arkanath and T Bjojarajan memorial All India Invitational Kho-Kho Tournament for men at Hardwicke High School Ground from December 10 to 12. All the matches will be played on league cum knock-out basis.
M Natarajan, Convenor and Vice President of National Sports Club said, “Teams from Maharashtra, Central Railway, Kolhapur, South Central Railway, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and host Karnataka will be eyeing for top honors. Around 250 players, technical officials, volunteers and markers will be taking part in the three day event”.
National Sports Club has produced many outstanding Kho-Kho players who went on to take part in state and national tournaments. Many of them even won Ekalavya award. The club was established in 1954.
Housing Minister Krishnappa will be inaugurating the tournament on December 10 at 6pm. MLA Vasu, Superintendent of Police Ravi D Channanavar are expected to attend the event. The winners will be awarded cash prize and attractive trophies. The prize distribution will be held on December 12 at 6pm. District Minister Mahadevappa, MLA Somashekar and MUDA Chairman Dhruvakumar will be the guests.
