Mumbai: After urging his countrymen to support the Kiwi side and requesting the company heads to go easy if they don’t find the workforce in the office and instead in the stadium, cheering the New Zealand cricket team in World Cup 2015, Brendon McCullum, on Saturday, took his excellent public relations’ skills  to a whole new level by asking Indian cricket fans to support the Blackcaps in the World Cup final on Sunday.

The New Zealand skipper has penned a letter asking the Team India supporters, who may be a bit down following India’s loss in World Cup semifinal against Australia.

McCullum writes, “I know you understand the hunger for a World Cup. And I have already seen a wave of support from you guys towards us.”

He thanked the Indian fans for their support saying, “We need every bit of it and I request your support towards NZ all the way, through every ball in the final.”

“It’s the biggest game of our career and over a billion voices rooting for us will definitely count,” concluded McCullum.
