Mysore: In a match that swung from side to side, with both the teams showing excellent skills, it all boiled down to who kept their nerves till the last minute. Ultimately Mangalore United successfully kept their cool and won the nail-biter match against Bijapur Bulls by a slender margin of 4 runs.

Requiring 18 runs to win off the last over with four wickets in hand, Bijapur Bulls managed to score only 13 runs and lost a wicket as well to end up at 171/7 as opposed to the score of 176/1 set by Mangalore United.

Karun Nair scored an unbeaten 100 for Mangalore United, followed by the captain Rohit Sabharwal scoring 65 runs and was run out towards the end. The bowlers from Bijapur Bulls found no success in terms of getting wickets.

On the batting front for the Bijapur Bulls, S Sampath scored a quickfire 42, followed by K Kapoor at 41 and KC Avinash at 28. The pick of the Mangalore United bowlers was U Patel who took 2 wickets for 27 runs, followed by Akshay and More who picked up a wicket each for 27 and 36 runs respectively.

The weather conditions did cause a bit of scare, with heavy winds, overcast conditions and strong drizzles. However, it cleared off in the span of a few overs, and no delay occured.

The orange cap went to Karun Nair, as did the Karbonn Smart Kamaal Catch as well as the Man of the Match award.

Sony SIX as usual had its share of glitches and snags, with the scorecard showing Mysore Warriors win instead of Mangalore United.

The second match for today would be Rockstars vs Bellary Tuskers. The tuskers have won the toss and have chosen to bat first.
