Kolkata: The former champions Kolkata Night Riders began IPL-6 series by winning the first match with 6 wickets.

Delhi Dare Devils were all out for a mere 128 runs, owing to superb bowling of Sunil Narein.  Kolkata Night Riders won the match ahead of 8 balls remaining.  Narein got 4 wickets for 13 runs, while captain Gambhir secured 42 runs was significant for their victory.  Jacques Calis and Manoj Tiwari earned valuable 23 runs each.

Manvinder Bisla got 4 wickets than Nehra, while Gambhir and Calis partnership earned them 47 runs.  Gambhir alone hit four boundaries and one six out of 29 balls.

Delhi Dare Devils who are playing without key players lost first wicket of Unmukt Chand on first ball.  Despite captain Jayavardane tried to earn runs; he did not get desired stand.  Delhi Dare Devils had to return to pavilion against the experienced players of Kolkata Night Riders.  Jayavardane scored 52 runs out of 66 balls, while David Warned scored 21 runs; a significant 2 digit scores for Delhi Dare Devils.
