Bangladesh: With the hosts Bangladesh taking on India in the Asia Cup finals on Sunday, an image has gone viral showing fast bowler Taskin Ahmed holding a severed head of India captain MS Dhoni.

An image of seven Indian players with half-shaven heads in a Bangladesh newspaper in 2015 had invited severe critcism. They had published the picture after India lost a bilateral series 1-2 against Bangladesh in which pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman had bowled quite well and bagged a few wickets with his ‘cutters’.

 

Team India’s Director Ravi Shastri was questioned at a pre-match conference about the image. He said that he doesnt read newspapers and only concentrates on cricket. “You read, think about what is written and make your assessments on that. We will only go out there and play cricket.” he added.
