Mumbai: South African coach Gary Kirsten has been approached by Board of Cricket Control for India to take up a second spell as the coach for Team India, according to reports in the Mumbai Mirror.
He told the newspaper that he had received a few phone calls from the BCCI, but he said he was not in the position to take a decision at that time. Kirsten, however, has not ruled out the possibility of taking up the job again. “You can never rule anything out in life. See what the situation is. I never say yes or never say no, it’s difficult”, he said.

Gary Kirsten took the baton from Greg Chappell and was coaching Team India from 2008 to 2011. After the departure of Duncan Fletcher, BCCI is now in search of a full-time coach. Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri is working with the team in the capacity of Team Director.
