Bengaluru: The Denz Foundation is gearing up to host an all India under 15 (U-15) 5 a side football tournament at Bengaluru’s Kanteerva stadium on 12th and 13th September 2015.
The objective is to unearth players with potential and provide them with a opportunity to get noticed. The organizers have invited teams from schools, clubs, academies and other groups with a cut off date for players as 1.9.2000 (they must be U-15 as of this date). 64 teams are expected to participate in the tournament with a last date for entries being the 22nd of July. This was announced by Denzil Fernandes, Chairman, Denz Foundation at a press conference here today.
Format:
This tournament will be a 5 a side league cum knock out tournament. Each team will play at least 3 league matches (12th Sept., 2015) before qualifying for the knock out tournament. The knock out stages will be played on the final day (13th Sept.,2015) followed by the prize distribution which is to be attended by a host of dignitaries from Govt. and other walks of life. All the matches will be supervised by qualified referees.
Prizes:
All the finalists and losing semi finalists in the All India Tournament will be given trophies, medals and a total prize money of Rs.1 lacs apart from individual prizes for best performing players.
