He disclosed that he has gone on to the next phase of his recuperation and that the stitches have been taken out. Online users praised him on his progress and conveyed their excitement to see him return to the field.
However, a user praised the 33-year-old for playing the World Cup 2023 through pain while criticising another player for faking injury to participate in the IPL 2024. The latter player is speculated to be Hardik Pandya, who hasnโt played for India since October.

Mohammed Shami’s exclusion from the IPL 2024 season dealt a serious setback to the Gujarat Titans (GT) before the season began. Although the successor hasn’t been announced yet, the franchise plans to do so shortly.
