Bengaluru: The Belagavi Panthers are one of the earliest teams off the block in preparation for the 5th edition of the Karbonn Karnataka Premier League powered by Cycle Pure Agarbathies scheduled to be played at Mysuru and Hubbali from September 16 to October 1. They have begun their T20 day/night cricket tournament preparations in the right earnest by launching a talent hunt at the NRA palace grounds on Friday, August 5 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Belagavi Panthers finished runners-up in 2009 and 2014, while topping the table in the league phase in 2015. The team is owned by AR Nagesh of Subhas Enterprises.
