Born in an illustrious film family, he made a grand debut without his family’s support. His debut film also had a popular heroine and great music, which helped him to get good notice. The film upon release was a big hit at box office. The media hailed him as the next big thing in Sandalwood. Offers started pouring. However our hero was very choosy and is still very choosy. I am sure you would have guessed about whom I am talking about? Yes, it is “Action Prince” Dhruva Sarja.
The youngster is already considered in big league with only two films. The star who is also a professional boxer is known for his action scenes and dialogue delivery. However what has disappointed his fans is his too choosy nature. He debuted in 2012 with “Addhuri”. The film was expected to release in 2011, however was postponed due to some issues. Upon release, the film was a runaway hit. He rejected many scripts and then chose a  newcomer to direct his next. The film was titled “Bahadur”. Just like his debut film, his second film also was postponed due to finance issues. The project was taken over by RS Productions. The film finally released in 2014, and was a big hit. The film recovered it’s budget within a week and was a big hit in multiplexes. Dhruva had gained a huge mass fan following as well as female following within a short period of time.

With his two films having a delayed release, he promised his fans to act in more films. However  he has not kept his promise. It’s been two years, since the release of “Bahadur”, however there is no news of release date of his next film “Bharjari”.

Dhruva was supposed to act in a remake film, which was to be directed by Nandakishore as his third film. However due to pressure by fans, he decided against it. He was impressed by the script by his “Bahadur” director Chethan and agreed to act in it. The film went on floor in 2015 and was scheduled to release the same year. However due to certain creative differences regarding the screenplay, Dhruva asked his director to rework on the script again, which delayed the film. They started shooting for the film after clearing their differences, and the film is scheduled to release next year.

But what is disappointing fans and trade analysts in Gandhinagar is, why is Dhruva Sarja taking so long to act in films. At a time, when other young actors are having two to three releases a year, Dhruva is struggling to have a release per two year. It’s good to be choosy. However being too choosy may also play spoiltsport. He may lose his fan base, if there is too much gap between his films.

Speaking about this to Newskarnataka.com, a producer who does not want his name to be revealed says, ” I had offered Dhruva a film after the success of his debut film. However he rejected the film. He is very choosy and it is difficult to convince him. In one way, it is good as he is giving preference to quality over quantity. But box office is unpredictable. One flop film and the same people who are praising him now, will spread bad things about him. He should be very careful. May be he should learn from his elder brother Chiranjeevi Sarja, who is more active in films.”

Sagar, an ardent fan of Dhruva is upset with long delays of his favourite star’s films. He feels thay Dhruva should atleast have two releases a year. “Considering that he is one of the rare actor to have gained such fan following in such a short period of time, he should act in more number of films. I hope “Bharjari” is his last delayed film and his subsequent films do not get delayed,” he adds.

Gauthami, a hardcore female fan finds nothing wrong in Dhruva’s work style. She says, “I don’t find anything wrong in his working style. He believes in quality. I would not mind to wait for two years, if he gives us a good film to see. Ofcourse I would like to see him in more films. But the content should be good. There is no use, if his films are bad and he acts in more number of films. Regarding delay in his first three films, I can say he was unlucky. The first film was delayed due to some issues with director. The second was delayed due to producers. The third was delayed due to script issues. However the good part is his delayed films become big hit. So in that way, we can expect “Bharjari” to become a big hit.”.

Dhruva Sarja is surley in top league. Even though it is too early to say, he has all the capabilities of entering Top 5. He just needs to concentrate in working in more films in different genre. After Bharjari, he is expected to act in Nandakishore’s “Pogaru”. Nandakishore is known for his quick work, so we can expect the film to release by next year. Hopefully he will have two releases next year. It is in his best interest that he acts in atleast one film in a year. With age on his side, he can do wonders in Sandalwood.
