Student leaders on streets seeking support for March 3 bundh call

Mangalore: Student leaders from various colleges across the city were on the streets  on March 1, Saturday holding placards publicising the March 3 bundh call opposing the implementation of the Netravathi diversion or Yettinahole Project. They are also  seeking public support for the Bundh.

Already various organisations have decided to observe March 3 as a Black Day as the government has decided to lay the foundation for the project on this day.

MP Nalin supports bundh call :  On the other hand, MP  Nalin Kumar Kateel speaking exclusively to Newskarnataka said that Netravati River is the water source of the people of Dakshina Kannada and that he  completely supported the Bundh call that has been given. “ We are in favour of the bundh whoever might have given a call for it. I personally am opposed to Yettinahole Project. Even the BJP is not  in support of the implementation of the project,” Nalin said.
