Upendra’s next, which is being made by the makers of “Chamak” and directed by debutant Maurya D N, has finally been titled. Produced by Chandrashekar, the new film has been named “Buddhivantha 2”. The makers plan to release the film by the year’s end.

Making it clear that the project is in no way related to the 2008 superhit film “Buddhivantha” that was directed by Ramnath Rigvedhi, the makers stated that the new film has been named as such because they found it catchy.

The 2008 film, “Buddhivantha” was directed by Ramnath Rigvedhi and starred Upendra in the lead with Pooja Gandhi. Brinda Parekh, Saloni Aswani, Natanya Singh, and Suman Ranganathan played the female leads in the film, which was a blockbuster upon release.

Meanwhile “Buddhivantha 2” has Meghana Raj, Sonal Monteiro and Adityaa playing pivotal roles.
