Post lockdown, Kannada films are releasing with the enthusiasm they have grabbed during the season. One such movie that is releasing January 8 is ‘Mahishasura’.
‘Mahishasura’, directed by debutant Uday Prasanna has already grabbed the attention of all the cinema lovers. The story is based on real events.
The story of the movie is framed in the lines of how the politicians and the upper-class folks misuse the innocent others. Let go of innocent innocents. “The film is an attempt to convey credibility to the society and highlight the loopholes in the system,” says Director Uday Prasanna. “The story is the hero of ‘Mahishasura’ and posturizes a tender triangle love story,” added Uday.
Sudarshan and Raj Manju play the lead roles in the film. Bindu is the female lead. Most of the film is shot in Doddaballapura’s Melekote and the other parts are beautifully captured in Ramanagar, Maddur, Mandya and Channapatna. The director has given more importance to the natural aspects of the film. Raghu Pandya, Rockline Sudhakar and various new artists are a part of ‘Mahishasura’. There are four songs in the film. Sunil Kaushi and Sai Kiran are the Music Directors and Krishna is the Cinematographer.
Parvati Chandrasekhar, Leelavathi Suresh Kumar and Prema Chandraiah have produced ‘Mahishasura’ under the banner name ‘Melekote Touring Talkies’. After two years of hard work, ‘Mahishasura’ is now all set to hit the screens.
