A film is a director’s medium, there’s no doubt about that. Even a star studded film can flop if the direction is not up to the mark but, a film with small stars can work wonders if the direction is good. Therefore, the director is known as the ‘Captain of the Ship’. This has been proven again with last week’s release, “Ayogya”.

The film, starring Satish and Rachita Ram, has made excellent collections in its first week. It has, reportedly, made a collection of around Rs10 crores in the first week, which is an all-time high for Satish. The film has also made a good amount of money from the music, satellite and dubbing rights. With this, producer Chandrashekar is already in the profit zone. The credit for the film’s success has gone to the director S Mahesh Kumar.

Mahesh is an associate of Yograj Bhat and he has already become one of the most sought-after directors, with many producers already waiting for him. But, Mahesh has not yet selected his next project. There are rumours that he will be directing Dhruva Sarja in a commercial entertainer to be produced by Uday Mehta, however, an official confirmation has not been made yet.
