A few months back we had reported that Siddarth Malhotra of “Student of the Year” was expected to be part of the Hindi remake of blockbuster Kannada film, “Kirik Party”. Siddarth’s fans were very happy with this news, as the star has not been able to give hit films since a couple of years. They were sure that the “Kirik Party” remake will bring their star back on track.

But, it looks like lady luck is not shining on Siddarth right now. He has been replaced by actor Kartik Aaryan, who is basking in the success of his latest “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety”. The makers have decided that it would be better to cast Kartik in the film, who has a bigger market value now. It is also being said that he will romance Jacqueline Fernandez in the remake.

The makers have approached Jacqueline Fernandez to play the leading lady, and if all goes as planned, she will step into the shoes of Rashmika Mandanna for the remake. Directed by Abhishek Jain, the film revolves around a gang of mischievous students who get enrolled at an engineering college.
