R Chandru’s “Kanaka” will be clashing with much the hyped “Rajaratha”, on January 26. The Republic day weekend is very good for film business. Therefore, the makers must have decided to release on this day. The film was scheduled to release on December 1, however due to censor issues, the release was postponed.

The common factor between “Kanaka” and “Rajaratha” is the Rajkumar family. While in “Kanaka”, Duniya Vijay plays the role of a hardcore Rajkuamr fan, Puneeth Rajkumar plays the title role of narrator, in “Rajaratha”.

“Kanaka” will be Vijay’s first major release after “Mastigudi”. This film has Hariprriya, Manvita Harish, Sadhu Kokila, K P Nanjundi and Ravishankar in pivotal roles along with Duniya Vijay.
