First-time director Janardhan Chikkanna’s “Gultoo” has created interest in the minds of the audience after its trailer was released earlier this week. The trailer has stuck a chord with the audience and this has increased the expectations from the film.

“Gultoo”, which is scheduled to release on March 30, has newcomers Shankar and Sonu Gowda playing the lead and has Rangayana Raghu in a pivotal role. The film is about hacking, encryption and decryption. It is about cyber crime. The director is an Information Science graduate and the subject of this film is influenced by his course.

This subject has not been dealt with in Kannada films till now. The director came up with a producer-pitch trailer, in which every actor wore glasses with rounded frames, and this became a highlight. Armed with this, he found a producer and the film was made.
