In a tragic incident that has shocked Sandalwood, popular film director P N Sathya passed away. Sathya was unwell for the last few months and was undergoing treatment for cancer. Unfortunately, he succumbed.

Satya started his career as a director with “Majestic”, which also debuted Darshan as lead actor. The film was a blockbuster and there was no looking back for Darshan and Satya. The duo have also worked together in films like “Daasa” and “Shastri”. Satya also worked with big stars like Sudeep and Shivarajkumar in films like “Gooli” and “Don”.

His last two films as director were “Bangalore Underworld” and “Mari Tiger”. Unfortunately, both films did not do well at the box office. He was expected to start a new film soon however, God had other plans.
