Diganth is back to Sandalwood. After he met with an eye injury, which almost made him blind, Diganth was away from films for quite sometime now. He made a grand comeback with “Chowka”. The film was a big hit. He also has “Happy New Year” scheduled to release this Friday and now the latest news in Gandhinagar is that Diganth will be working with his favourite director Yograj Bhat. They have worked in four films together until now, “Mungaaru Male”, “Gaalipata”, “Manasaare” and “Pancharangi”. All the films were big hits. They are reportedly working on the sequel of “Gaalipata”.
Diganth is not ready to reveal the news about the sequel. But he has confirmed that he will be working under Yograj Bhat’s direction, which will also star Ganesh. Few months back, there were rumours doing rounds that Yograj Bhat plans to make “Gaalipata” film in series.
“Gaalipata” was released in 2008 to extraordinary response. The film was about three friends who find love in a rural place. Ganesh as foodie, Diganth as Doodh Peda and Rajesh Krishna’s Devdas character was loved by one and all.
