Bengaluru: In a big setback for a section of Kannada organisations who called for a Karnataka bandh on December 31, hattrick hero, Shiva Rajkumar has termed the bandh as the anti-Kannada and anti-Karnataka.

He was speaking to mediapersons in Mysuru after watching Badava Rascal in which Dolly Dhananjay plays a lead role.

“On December 31, many Kannada movies will be released. The government is responding to Kannada related issues in a good manner. In such a situation, why is there a need for this bandh,” he questioned.

“We need to take forward the Kannada related agitations in a better way,” he said.

“Let us resolve the issues in a more pragmatic way. Bandh will not serve any purpose,” he said.
