Bengaluru: Rakshith Shetty-starrer “Avane Shriman Narayana” created a new record in Sandalwood. If sources in the film chamber are to be believed, the first day collection of the movie on Friday was Rs.15 crores.

“It was not a big budget movie. Rakshith is not a mass hero. But this is a record,” said chamber sources.

“Kirk Party was also a big success at the box office. More collection is being reported as the film is running very well in the multiplexes where ticket rate is high,” said a distributor.

“Rakshith is a class hero. That come as a big advantage for him as youth are turning up in large number,” he added.

It can be recalled that “Avane Shriman Narayana” was released worldwide last Friday in five languages.
