‘Anukta’ is the word on everyone’s tongue in Sandalwood. The film, which is scheduled to be released next week, is a suspense-thriller and is making huge buzz after the release of its songs and trailer. Audience across Karnataka are now waiting with bated breath for the film to release.

Commenting on the same, Krishna, a techie in Bengaluru said, “I was very impressed with the teaser, however, the trailer blew me away. I feel this film will take Sandalwood to next level. The film looks technically rich and camera work looks awesome. I am sure that the film will be entertaining as well. Thriller is a genre which Sandalwood has not delved into much compared to other industries. Only a few of our films have done well in this genre. I am sure Anukta will join the list.”

Agreeing with Krishna’s view is Sonam, a college student from Mangaluru. “The trailer of the film has done the trick for me. I am a huge fan of investigation films. I feel that this film will fall in the must watch category. I am also a huge fan of Karthik Attavar. He has been part of award winning Tulu film ‘Auto Rickshaw’ and also been part of popular Kannada serial ‘Yashode’. I am sure with this film he will reach the top league,” said Sonam.

Meanwhile trade is also eagerly waiting for the film. Anukta will be releasing on February 1. It will be clashing with Suni’s directorial ‘Bazaar’. However, as the genre of both the films are different, there would not be much of a problem when it comes to screen sharing in Karnataka. The makers of ‘Anukta’ hope that the film will open to good numbers in first weekend.

The film is written and directed by Ashwath Samuel and produced by Harish Bangera under the banner Deyi Production. Nobin Paul has worked on music as well as the background score for the film. The film stars Sampath Raj, Anu Prabhakar, Karthik Attavara, Sangeetha Bhat, K S Sridhar, Usha Bhadary and Lakshmi Siddaiah in pivotal roles.
