Shashank starrer “Adi Purana” was released during the weekend. It looks like the movie trailer did the trick, as the film managed to get a decent opening even though it did not have the backing of any star power. The response picked up on Saturday and on Sunday, the family audience is expected to come in full force to watch the film.

Initially, based on the trailer, it looked like the film was going to be an adult entertainer, but that is not true. The movie does have a few adult jokes, but overall, it is a clean family entertainer to which anyone can relate.

So far, most of the reviews of the film have been positive and the biggest plus point for the film is word-of-mouth.

This film is the directorial debut of popular editor Mohan Kamakshi and he has been successful in giving the Kannada film audience a good product. The film has Ahalya Suresh and Moksha as the female leads.
